Biography

Joseph Grant Van Nostrand was born on the 10th April 1865 in Warren, Indiana. He is the son of Jonathon Van Nostrand and Mary H. Jones.^[1]

Joseph married Sarah Witty on the 7th May 1890 in Reece, Greenwood, Kansas. To this union were born at least five children; Claude, Verda, Elsie, Orval and Laura.

Joseph passed away on the 20th February 1924 in Fairview, Major, Oklahoma.^[1]

Joseph died at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was living near Fairview Oklahoma at the time of his death. Thus he died close to where he was born. He is buried in the Roscoe Cemetery near Fairview. Joseph was the 3rd child of Jonathon and Mary Van Nostrand.
